DeInstitutionalizing the approach to housing the elderly. This was a fun one for me as I envisioned a place that they could not only call home, but also a communal space. By incorporating youth magnets, and providing facilities for children, the facility would create an environment for the elderly to interact with the younger generation and pass down values, and culture, while for the adults, the youthful energy and exuberance would be beneficial to everyday life.
